Anyone know how to avoid their 0870 help-line costs?

The website will not link you to a real person i.e. you cannot e-mail a query, it is just a semi-interactive FAQ set-up as far as I can work out, and this refers you the 0870 numbers.

Sainsbury stores customer services will put a call through for you, but that's a 10 mile round trip for me!

You could try Loyalty Management UK who run the Nectar scheme:

020 7152 4700

They might at least be able to put you through to the right number, or you could pester them for a proper number (maybe tell them your phone can't dial 0870 numbers).

I know there was a link on the Barclaycard Automated Service for Nectar - I don't know if it is still there. You can find out by calling 0800 917 7277 - you'll soon find out whether it's still there or not.

There is a Nectar option on the Sainsburys helpline automated menu -- 0800 63 62 62.

Not tried myself.
