Hi Ya'll, I need an alternative to 0870 402 2710. (Pet Insurance). Searched our site and tried Google to no avail. Their address is E & L Insurance Services, Thorpe Underwood Hall, Thorpe Underwood, Ouseburn, York. YO26 9SZ

A search of BT Directory Enquiries gives their number as (01423)  333000.

Hi Dave, That was the correct no. In fact I shall be taking out their pet insurance since they are the lowest priced I have found on the Internet. Thanks again. If you read this DaveM I shall be paying only £49 excess for vet's fees, and only £46.73 annual premium for £1500 worth of vet's fees per treatment per year. They claim they will not be beaten on price.

Does anyone know the geographical number of E & L Insurance services based in Ouseburn, York. I am after their customer services number, the one advertised on their website is  08449 809565.

robbiesbird, I've joined your thread to the existing one on E&L. If you subscribed to receive emails when someone replies, you will need to resubscribe as the email you have just received is for the old thread. Click on 'Notify of replies' near the bottom right of this forum page on the blue strip.

The website for E&L Insurance is www.eandl.co.uk

It shows a load of 0844 numbers which are charged at 3p/min at all times from a BT landline. They used to use 0870, so have moved to keep revenue stream and/or 'free' (to them) 08xx number.

There are several entries in the database for E&L, you must search for E&L without spaces. They show 0870s only, but they will probably be just as valid for the current 0844s. Just look to see what department they are.

However, I think 01423 333000 is the switchboard, so this will be valid for all departments, assuming that they will put you through and not just tell you to ring 0844.

The Pet-Insurance.co.uk About Us page identifies it as being administered and underwritten by Equine & Livestock Insurance (E&L Insurance) on which there are a number of entries in the database. I have therefore moved your posting to the E&L Insurance thread.

Dave, they also have an associate co  Entertainment & Leisure Insurance Services Ltd http://www.do-business.net/Indexer/Company/Entertainment-Leisure-Insurance-Services-Ltd with the same geo number so you might want to add to database. In both cases they seem to trade as E & L Insurance.  

I was called in answer to an email enquiry within the hour  :)
That number was 01463 334717 and my questions were answered quickly.

Thanks for this. I assume that there is a typo and that the number is 01423 334717. I have listed this in the database for Pet-Insurance.co.uk.

If any further amendments are required for this company, including if you find any other 0844 numbers that it uses, please post on this thread.
