Title: O2 Online Pay & Go Customer Care Post by AK-47 on Aug 25th, 2004 at 10:24pm
Hi there, everyone.
Does anyone have the geographical number for O2 Online Pay & Go Customer Care? The premium rate number is (0906)-302 4445. The short-dial number from an O2 Online Pay & Go phone is 4445. It costs 50p/min. Please note, the O2 Online Customer Care number listed on this site is the O2 Online CONTRACT Customer Care number. Thanks in advance. |

Talking to OČ Customer Services, they indeed confirm that this number is for contract customers. ::)
However the number they advise for PAYG top ups is the number 0870 5678678, alternative number of 0161 7055000 (switchboard), will put you through to PAYG Customer services. ;D |

Thanks, but the number you have given above is for O2 OFFLINE Pay & Go (i.e. the O2 Pay & Go SIMs/tariffs available to buy in shops). They cannot deal with O2 ONLINE Pay & Go queries (i.e. queries about the O2 Pay & Go SIMs/tariffs only available through the O2 website, which provide 300 free texts/month).
The number for O2 Online Pay & Go Customer Care is as I gave in the original post. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks! |

So that we don't have duplicate postings, and I hate to see someone cry (I'll shut my eyes !), I have removed the new post with your whinge that nobody has given you an answer yet !
By posting this, I have now put it back at the top of the pile (easy really init ?!) Have you tried the Online Member Services on 01349 887193/4/5 ?? They had all gone home when I tried but I'll give them a go tomorrow, just to stop the moaning ! :-X With the best will in the world, there is sometimes NO answer to requests. Go back thru the forums and you will see many others like you that fell by the wayside, unanswered, unloved, unwanted. Sad isn't it ?! :'( I would hazard a guess that if Dave and myself went back, we would be able to find answers to 70% or more of the outstanding items. :) |

Well I tried and they just gave me an 090 . . number so some more searching is required, though I wouldn't hold my breath. Anyone with a group of numbers for me to start looking at please speak up now ! |

Try using the short code 4445 as you may get through easier.

O2's website now lists the 0870 number used by ordinary o2 PAYG customers for all o2 customers (including o2 Online PAYG customers) whereas before they listed an 0906 number.
Therefore, for those on o2 Online PAYG you can now use the 0161 705 5000 number to speak to c/s about your o2 online PAYG account. This number is for switchboard so it is best to ring out of office hours where the call is automatically diverted to c/s but they do transfer you if you ring within office hours but beware that they may change their minds about transferring if reception get too many calls! I've rung this number about 5 times to speak to someone regarding my o2 online account and asked questions that is only relevant to online PAYG customers like the 300 free texts, 1mb GPRS, etc and they answered all my queries but beforehand they used to say ring 0906... I've never actually asked them if they now deal with Online PAYG customers but like I said they've answered all my queries whereas they never used to. I've asked DaveM if he could amend the existing entry for o2 PAYG to also mention 'o2 Online' as well. FAO a Mod: I know this isn't technically a request but couldn't find a more relevant post in geo chats as it was mostly about online contract. |

The NGN no for o2 payg online is 08705 678 678.
I carried out some research based on a number i found in the unverified list and found out you can reach them as follows without being put through by a switchboard. Dial the alternative no 0161 705 5386.This will put you through to an o2 menu which will ask you to input your phone no.When you input your online payg no it will send you to a payg menu. Choose opt O, wait a sec and press opt O again. This will put you through to a CS centre who deal with Payg Online problems.I tried it,and it worked. |

Cheers for that.
I'm also going to ring the 0161 705 5000 number and ask them for the extension number for c/s. I've done this to some firms in the past and they've given me it without thinking. |

If you call from a different number than the one you are enquiring about, you will be transferred to the department relevant to that number - in other words I rang the 678678 number from my contract O2 phone and it sent me to contract CS.
Since then I've had success ringing a Leeds switchboard, ask for PAYG CS (perhaps the Manchester number you mention?), get chatting to them and they will put you through to Online PAYG CS if they can't help with relevant info. But bigjohn's method sounds simpler... |

Thanks. Having looked through some of the unverified entries for o2 PAYG, I noticed another number and having tried it they also deal with o2 Online PAYG customers as both o2 normal/retail PAYG and o2 Online PAYG appear to now use the same customer services.

Also if you call the Contracts Customer Service No on
0800 005 005 and ask them nicely, they will usually put you through to PAYG CS. |
