I've been searching the web, the usenet archive, etc., and every geographical fax number I've found for Orange now plays a recorded messages telling me to dial "0870...".  

Does anyone know of a working fax number?

We have a number for Orange in the Unverified Numbers that at present I am unable to verify (no fax !!). It was submitted as a Fax Number and is the alternative to 0870 3745701.

Try 01325 395681 for us and if it works OK please let us know. Also let us know if there's a problem so we can look further as I have some more numbers from another source that still require checking  :).

I've just sent a fax successfully to 01325.395681.  I'll let you know if/when I get an answer back!

I got a letter back from Orange, so that fax number works.

I don't know whether these numbers are still valid, but they may be of use. See here. There is a fax number for Bristol (head office) which is 01454 624520.

No, that's the old number that gives an 0870 as the alternative.   :-/

All the numbers for dept's at Head Office in Bristol have changed to 0870 376 **** (last 4 of original No.)

That's probably why I left them to get on with it !  :-/

Doesn't have the same ring with T-Mobile does it ??

The geographical fax number listed for Orange (01325 395681) now plays a recording telling you to use a 0870 number.  I've googled around but can't find a fax number that still works (they all give the same recording).  Has anyone else had better luck?
