Number please for Foot Friendly PO Box 98 Driffield YO25 9WX 0870 1202251

Only one problem with PO box numbers . . .  NOBODY lives there !!

When I did a search on the company, post code, phone number (all versions), etc. and there was nothing useful came up for thirty entries in Google, or on Yell & BT.

What do they do, their products, and a real location would be useful (try asking them), in fact something more than nowt !!   :-/

I checked the Royal Mail website and searched the address finder for YO25 9WX and it returned:

This company is mail order catalogue sales so I assume that the Foot Friendly is one of the t/a names, although they don't seem to have any information about it anywhere on the web.

Another way of trying to trace who is behind a PO Box number is to call the Royal Mail (T: 01752 387112) and ask them for the address of the PO Box Holder (the actual street address registered against the PO Box).  

Example: PO Box 175, Newport NP20 1XA
Registered Address: Newport Passport Office, Olympia Ho, Upper Dock Str, Newport NP20 1XA.

Royal Mail are legally obliged to release this information, and they are required to release this information over the telephone, no written request is needed.  I know this works as I have obtained information regarding PO Box address from them before.

Under the Royal Mail PO Box Disclosure of Information is the following:

We reserve the right in all cases to give the address of the PO Box holder, should it be requested.

It's a pity that the various telco's couldn't follow the Royal Mail and disclose the 'hidden information' behind a NGT number.

Thanks Paul. I've made a note of that as it's really useful to know. I wondered where you were getting your extra info on the postings with PO Box numbers.

Now, as you say, all we need is the reverse telephone search capability for NGN's and we'll all be happy !

I think you should add a post about it on Dave's Guide to finding geographical numbers otherwise it will get lost in the fullness of time !  ;D
