Can any of you people help me with an 0845 0109000 – this is a number for HM Custom & Excise – I would like to speak to the office covering East Anglia many thanks SL

First of all, the number you ask for is the National enquiry number, and we have that in the database, 0208 9290152, and ALL calls go there. :-/

As the local offices have minimal staff manning, everything is done thru that number. If you want someone from the local office SPECIFICALLY, ask at that number and they will either give you a local number advising times the switchboard will be open (or an answerphone), or they'll get someone to call you back.
