Title: Advanced Mobiles non 0870 number Post by Adrianwingate on Mar 8th, 2005 at 5:13pm
Hi
Can anyone help in in finding a non 0870 number for customer services in advanced Mobiles. There web site is http://www.advancedmobiles.co.uk There 0870 number is 0870 027 5151 They are one of these companies that sell mobile phones with half price line rental for a year. Their 0800 number is splattered all over the newspapers but when I call it they tell me that I have to call an 0870 number for customer services. I can be 11th or 12th in the queue :( Anyone got any ideas please. Thank you in advance Adrian |

Thank you very very much for that. Just out of curiousity, did it cost you to use directory Inquieries online? (I am fairly certain I would have to pay)
Also, I didn't realise that DI would give out non 0870 numbers. Is that common? Adrian |

It's just that firms sometimes forget to update their Directory Enquiry entries when they move to rip-off 0870 numbers.
BT's 118500 service is free online (50 searches per day, I think). |

Also 118118.com is damn good ! (& also free)
I've found it amazing at finding secreted numbers for these clever companies changing over to 08xx. Someone mentioned it last week & I've been using it with great success since. Haven't noticed a limit but wouldn't be surprised. It's much better than BT's normal Directory Enquiries though. ;D |

Dear all the address for this company is
PO Box 63 Liversedge, West Yorkshire WF15 6WY They provide 0871 8556677 as a general enquiries number and said they couldn't transfer me when I phoned their 0800 number that they provide for obtaining new accounts. Their website address is www.advancedmobiles.co.uk I'm going to email them as well as I'm trying to track down some cashback that I've applied for, however a normal number would be a great help as i'll be phoning them from my mobile. So having to pay to speak to somebody about obtaining cash back seems partically annoying many thanks |

The website shows a freephone number: 0800 0912345. Is this sales only then?

That's interesting, two enquiries about the same company in the same morning. I must admit I hadn't thought about using 118 118.
The 0800 number on website was for sales only, so i'll give the 01924 number a go and see what happen. Cheers |

Dear all, just tried all three 01924 numbers and all are coming back as number not recognised.

A whois of advancedmobiles.co.uk gives:

The postal code will be (according RM's PC Finder) is WF1 1HD. Putting WF1 1HD into 192.com reveals many businesses, so no clues that I can see using this address. |
