Primus Telecommunications. Local & National calls are £0.0199 per minute

Are you saying that Primus dont have a minimum call charge for CPS customers. Or are you quoting there call rate?

Sorry :-[
Purely out of curiousity, may I ask why you need a CPS without a connection/minimum charge when providers such as 1899 and 18866 exist? |
Title: Re: Minimum Call Charge. Post by bigjohn on Apr 22nd, 2005 at 10:23pm
Smasher.Because the person i was enquiring for only makes very short outgoing calls.

Ah, all is clear ;D
We also make short outgoing calls but there isn't really any viable company other than the usual talktalk or onetel who charge 5p min. Surely it would be cheap simply to use 1899 or 18866 even if the call is pretty short? I doubt there are companies who charge less than 2p for a minute of peak local/national calls but I'm not absolutely sure about that :-/ |

On inspecting their site, is seems they don't charge a minimum call charge!
But their call rates aren't exactly fantastic :-/ |
Title: Re: Minimum Call Charge. Post by bigjohn on Apr 26th, 2005 at 1:36pm
No they are not.But in the case in question i was dealing with a residential line where they make only very short outgoing calls normally less then a minute its ideal for them.

Not CPS, but 12911 makes no call setup or minimum charge. Peak/Offpeak landline rates are 2p/1p per minute.

At the risk of looking a fool not knowing what CPS stands for .......
I send lots of one page faxes which take less than 1 minute to go through and use First Telecom (www.firsttele.com). UK calls are 2p/min with no connection fee and no minimum charge. |

CPS? Carrier Pre-Selection (Carrier preselection is probably more correct grammatically?).
And the fool is the one who does not ask the question. ;) |
