Another company that have been mis-sold a new improved switchboard system by BT and shiny new 0870 numbers to upset the customers ! I'm not so much annoyed at the company for not taking the time & trouble to find out exactly what they are getting themselves into, more at another blatant misrepresentation by BT to make money by saying that it will improve their service, etc. !   :-/

And not only do they get an 0870 number, but their geographic number, is a very memorable and probably in high demand.

Some 0870 providers sell numbers like that for £1000s with the selling point being that customers will remember the number easily, thus increase their sales.

However they have a costly geographic number, which won't be used.  I'm sure there's plenty of other businesses in the area (especially the local taxis) who would appreciate that kind of number!!
