Title: Phone Slam Scam Post by rickuk80 on Apr 25th, 2005 at 12:05pm
Just watched the ITV news and they had a story on an unnamed company that is switching line providers with just a phone call and a letter thought the post without the customer signing anything.
Done a google, and looked on the ITV website, but can’t find any more info... anyone heard anything??? Rick |

There was an item on BBC Working Lunch last week about it.
You might find some info on the BBC Working Lunch web-site? |

I think it's probably all (or most) of the major companies, not just one.
We were switched from Talktalk to Toucan, but due to the high level of incompetence of both companies, we were unable to pursue a complaint to OFCOM, as Toucan claimed it was BT's fault - something to do with a "migration error" at the exchange ??? Something we can do is all complain to OFCOM and forget the old "stiff upper lip" 8) So many people I know have had it happen to them but refuse to complain for unknown reasons... |
