Does anyone have an alternative number for Pierre Ricaud, a catologue company. Their fax is geographical, an 01252 number, but phone is an 0870 number. They have a web site but no clue there!

Do you have an address and postcode. What are the phone numbers you have in full please.

. . . and obviously nothing that would help us either, or do you think we are psychic or have crystal balls !  :-/

Would this be the same Dr Pierre Ricaud who's 0870 (which you are keeping as secret from us) is 0870 3331963? Would it be the same Dr Pierre Ricaud who's website is at www.ricaud.com?

I notice they are based in Paris (118 Champs-Elysées to be exact). It may well be cheaper to phone their France customer services than phone their UK one on 0870!

Thanks Dave, yes that is the 0870 number and the website. It would certainly be cheaper to phone France through 18866 but I would just like to beat the system and call them on a geographical number. I don't have a subscription to a business directory but I'm sure someone has. Incidently I sent them an e-mail requesting a geographical number and told them I don't use 0870 numbers but I've had no reply. Why would they when they make so much money from 0870 numbers?

Dave, I've been through that list under D, P and R and I can't see it. I've now had a reply from the company and they tell me they don't have any other number I can call but suggest I order on the internet. So case closed, I can't be bothered to spend any more time on it.

Wait for the whole of the unverified list to load (takes a few seconds even on broadband) and then use 'Find ricaud on this page' - that finds:

I expect that the 0870 will be redirected straight to the Customer services dept in France. We had this same scenario with another French company a while back.
Try them on +33 892 025432 - ONLY 1p/min (3p connection) to call using 1899 at the moment.   ;D

Try the French alternative DaveM has found. I received the same reply from Direct Line Financial Services; they don't have a geographical alternative. Guess what, there is an alternative which is listed on this site!
