I have to make a call to New Zealand immigration, their number begins 09069 and they have clearly stated it will cost £1 per minute. Would it work out cheaper to add 44 as if I am calling form abroad or would that make it more expensive. I have several questions to ask them and envisage being on the phone around 5 minutes. Thanks :)

That won't work (if bypassing an 09xx number was that easy,  everyone would be doing it).

OK, Thanks I wasnt quite sure how it worked, I will try and find another solution before I phone. Unfortunately they dont give an email address so I guess a bit of detective work is needed. I wont give in just yet!

This of course is the legitimate use of an 0909 no where the caller is paying for information via his phone bill.

However hidden away on there website it says if you are calling from outside the UK ring 01344 71 61 99.Try this no and see if it works let us know how you get on.

If its no good it would be cheaper to phone them direct in NZ on +64 9 914 4100.
