Hi everyone,

Does anyone have a geo phone number for my local Inland revenue tax offices, in Preston and Blackpool , Lancashire.

I have just come off the phone from a

I requested this info about 6 weeks ago under the FOI Act, and he has finally come up with the answer that the only number I can use is the 0845 number and that no geo number exists, well it has to ,as we all know these numbers piggyback geo numbers.  There is a number that I used to use [01253 3021478]  until they changed to the 0845 number, but that now tells you to ring the 0845 number.

The number they give out for Blackpool Area to professional people( i presume they mean accountants) to bypass the queing system is 0151 471 3003.Let us know how you get on.

Forgot to mention before re bigjohn's post re bypassing queue, I did get held in a queue, but only for about 3 minutes and as weekend calls are free to geo numbers (courtesy of Talktalk) I wasn't bothered. Was never asked if I was a professional.
