Title: phone line dialling performance Post by MilindPuri on May 31st, 2005 at 12:57pm
Is there any difference in the performance amongst cheap phone providers on the time to dial or success in reaching numbers.
I use 1640 for First Telecom for mobile calls - however quite often I fail to get a connection, yet if I resort to BT then I get an immediate connection. I also use NTL 1263 for land-line calls, normally successfully, until my wife tried to call the doctors surgery this morning and found it permanently engaged. When she tried using BT instead she got connected straight away! |

My surgery is frequently engaged in the morning but immediate and repeated use of the redial button overcomes the problem within 3 or 4 attempts (18866 prefix). |

We tried through 1263 about 20 times and it was engaged each time
