i received an email meant to be from the national lottery saying i had won on the bonus ball competition - as i enter loads of free draws i may well have done so, but, doubt it.............i was given an email address to contact and at the bottom was a number which i rang when i never got a reply to my email - the number was;-+447031948759 - does anyone know more please?

It's way OT but, to save you the hassle, it's a con.
(1). UK 070 numbers are 'personal numbers' - this one costs 50p per minute to call from a BT landline. The National Lottery do not use 070 numbers (see HERE). (2) Unless you have an online lottery account, how would 'the lottery' know your e-mail address? (3) All genuine UK National Lottery e-mail addresses end @national-lottery.co.uk - a good one to query this with might be help@national-lottery.co.uk (4) What's 'the bonus ball competition' - that's not one I've heard of. (5) Does it sound too good to be true? Then it probably is. HERE's some interesting reading. HERE's some more (do a 'find on this page' for the +447031948759 number on this one). |
