It seems that anyone who experiences any sort of misfortune in this country is now considered to be a ripe prospect for exploitation by any sort of scam. Whatever has happened to the old sense of compassion in this country?
We have the victims of train disasters, the victims of terrorism and now the victims of insurance frauds all being targeted by the NGN scammers. Today it is the FSA. Evidently some unfortunate victims have been sold motor insurance by a fake company (H&Q), giving an address which is a building about to be demolished. Anyone who has bought motor insurance cover through H&O is advised by the FSA to arrange alternative cover immediately. The FSA is appealing for anyone who has had contact with H&O to call the watchdog on 0845 606 1234. Yes you've got it another disguised Premium number for victims! |

I currently have an official complaint running with the FSA about this and am drawing their attention to the ASA guidance and the advice of Leicester City Council Trading Standards department.
All Staff manning the FSA line all swear to a man/woman that these calls are just "the BT local rate". |
