Perhaps they also think that its cheaper to send a local rate letter to your own postcode area, than it is to send a national rate letter to another postcode area?

goodness knows what happens when we get 0870 and 0871 rated letters, oh and them premium rated letters.

Haven't you heard?

They've worked out their own version of that scam - they recently received approval to start charging by the size of letters as well as the weight.

yeah but proper DL sized letters will actually be cheaper to send!
If in doubt fold it!
