Title: Sky Travel Shop (The First Resort/TUI)
Post by daities on Sep 27th, 2005 at 8:34pm
Can anyone help with the geographical telephone numbers for the sky travel shop.  It is an online site and so does not have an address or postcode - at least not one that I can see.  Their web site is here
http://www.skytravel.co.uk/html.asp?filename=general.contactus&ito=1551

Two numbers needed
0870 050 0120 - Reservations and enquiries
0870 0500 130 - Customer Services

I have carried out a search on this site and Googled the numbers but to no avail.  If someone finds the numbers by doing this can they let me know in case I am just being stupid and need to do this again.

Thanks for your help - it is appreciated.

See the About page on the website. It says:

Quote:
Sky Travel holidays provided by The First Resort, The First Resort is a trading name of TUI UK Ltd. Registered office: Elsinore House, 77 Fulham Palace Road, London, W6 8JA

TUI UK Ltd is better known as Thomson Holidays.

The contact page on The First Resort website gives the address as:
The First Resort
First Floor
Churchgate House
56 Oxford Street
Manchester
M1 6EU

A check of 192.com reveals only 0870 numbers, so no clues there.

0161 236 3072 is a FR recruitment number.

More proof here that it goes to The First Resort in Manchester. Another direct dial phone number is shown: 0161 236 7765

Hi Dave

You seem to be on the right track.  Maybe someone else out there will be able to provide some FR numbers - although FR also has NGNs that provide similar services but are not SKY Travel.
I am sure a lot of people would find having the FR and the SKY Travel ones useful - booking a holiday can be a time consuming activity and when you think that you are paying thousands for a family holiday charging high prices for the call does seem a bit mean.

I've just noticed this thread on The First Resort. Unfortunately there's not much more information.

See what others can come up with.

Unverified we have 0800 2738821 as "The First Resort" with "Sky Travel" in the other info column.

Sorry Dave for the duplicate thread  :-? I did do a search but obviously did not go far enough back!! I have reluctantly just phoned the dreaded 0870 number, Sun evening, 6.30pm and it took 7 minutes of holding before I was even spoken to. Wanted a price for something advertised on TV today and total length of call....... 28 minutes  >:( Hope that doesn't amount to £2.80 for that one call!!

0870 calls at the weekend are not too bad, they cost 1.5p/min from BT landlines (Option 1).

If 0870 calls are unavoidable, and provided it is possible, it is worth scheduling them for weekends

When I was on the phone to Sky Travel on Sunday, I asked for a Geographical numberand was told, no just phone the 0870 number as you are only charged at Local Rate. I knew that information was incorrect and pointed that out, and was told its local rate!!  :o

0800 0271717 has been entered into the database. It has a menu which appears to cover new bookings as well as amendments to existing ones. Some feedback would be appreciated on whether it works or not.
