Title: 1899 pre-pay Post by nutellajunkie on Oct 2nd, 2005 at 1:15pm
I thought Id like to pass on an idea that might well be of use to alot of people in my sittuation.. How about being able to use 1899 on a pre-pay basis if one choses.. It would be like voip-cheap, but using the normal land line proceedure.
I reckon this would make it easier for people in my low-finance sittuation when sometimes the funds arent available at point of invoice, meaning I get the "your 1899 account, blah blah blah.." Atleast with pre-pay, this wouldnt happen.. no credit = no calls :) So I top up a tenner, and it lasts me a couple of months, as my main calls are the 3p a go and the usual mobile calls (Which are the ones that sting my pocket) |

Surely the answer is put the money you would have wanted to pay up-front into a deposit account, and then when the bill comes you have it to pay with? Alternatively you can pay funds into a credit card account in advance to get a credit balance. Some cards will even pay you a small amount of interest for a credit balance?

whats the point in pre-pay anything? It just makes finances a little easier in some cases.
Else I wouldnt have asked 1899 a simple question like that. |

Well the rest of us all seem happy with this system from 1899. As you are the only one who has a problem don't you think it might perhaps be your good self who is being just a touch unreasonable. There are pre-pay phone companies out there if you want them. But their calls happen not to be as cheap. 01/02 is a competitive market so you pays your money and you takes your choice. |

Course im happy with 1899. Im just not happy with the way they bill me the same day as they attempt to take funds from my account which means sometimes there isnt enough in there. matter of timing.
But yes, I was being unreasonable. :-[ |
