This is a service company for satellite tv installations it has an 08702 245777 number.  No Geographical number can be found on the searches tried. Address:Orchard Business Park, Yapton, BN18 0EH. There is another address Arundel BN18 0ZZ. There is a Fax Number 01243 554624. If a fault is found and they are contacted it takes a long time on the phone trying different options on the system before an engineer will be sent. A geographical number is required to prevent expense to the customer.

Domain Name records give number as 01243 555 044.

I pay £8/month to this company (Subscriber Services - a trading name for Satcover Ltd and the authorised customer service agent for Satellite Direct UK Ltd) to fix Sky problems (frequent). If there is a fault, I have to spend a long time waiting on the phone, then a longer time while various remedies are suggested before an engineer can be booked. They do not call back, even if they promise to. I tried 01903 718185 (listed under unverified alternatives) but this was a sales number and they would only give me the 0870 number for the engineering department. I tried the 01243 555044 number from this forum; they answered as Digicover Ltd, said they were unconnected to Subscriber Services but could give me a number - guess what? 0870 245777.
A geographical number for the engineering department is needed to save customers further expense - any help would be gratefully received and acknowledged.

I also found an 0845 number, 0845 230 3034 - better than 0870, although still far from ideal.

I've also looked up Subscriber Services, and found 01243 821122. However, there are some rather unflattering remarks about them out there, including a reference to "cowboys", so do look out!

Thanks for trying - unfortunately 01903 718183 is not recognised and 01243 821122 is the Satcover Ltd sales office.

Digicover does not appear in the Companies House website - so why did they answer as Digicover Limited?

I have been a customer of Satellite Direct for some time now. Quite appauled at some of the remarks made here.

I have had 2 replacement pieces in the past 6 months from this company and I have never had any problems with them.

I live in a remote area of the country and they arrived the following day from my call to them.

I find the staff very polite and helpful and the service of excellent quality.

Don't some people have anything better to do with their time than pick holes in quality companies???

They also use another 0870 number  -  0870 240 2473 and when they ring you they purport to be Sky and tell you they can give you a very good offer on insurance for your sky dish if you give them your full credit / debit cartd number over the phone!!!

I received an unsolicited letter from Satellite Direct UK Ltd which started - "The initial manufacturer's warranty on your digital satellite (Sky TV) system has now expired ...".
This is a blatant LIE.
I checked with Sky and they confirmed that my warranty had not run out at all. Indeed it had several months still to run.
In response to my question as to whether this company was appointed by Sky, Sky responded - "There are a number of independent warranty companies that legitimately provide products to protect digital satellite equipment. These companies and their products are not related to Sky or the Sky Repair Plan.".
So there you have it. They are not part of Sky, they are not endorsed by Sky, they are just one of a number of independents.
But would you want to trade with a company, or appoint them your equipment maintainer, when their pening sentence on their correspondence is a blatant LIE.
I wouldn't. Would you?

I've now complained to the regulators about SatCover/Satellite Direct and their cold call recorded messages.  Considering that the staff of the company are reading this forum (skybus1), I am doubly appalled that the company is persisting in disregarding the TPS guidance.

When I rang the company to complain, they offered to take my details and have me removed from their phone list.  I explained that I would not be giving them my details, as in principle they should be removing all TPS numbers (which would include mine).  She said she'd pass on the message.....I am not holding my breath.

After getting four calls in as many days from these clowns, I have more information on them:

1) The geographic number from which I was called from was: 01273 771220 (their Hove registered address)
2) Their non-geographic number is: 08702 245 777
2) They confirmed that they are called "Satellite Direct UK Ltd" (today anyway).
3) Their head office is:
Satellite Direct UK Limited,
Imperium House,
Ford Land, Ford, Arundel,
West Sussex BN18 0DF
as confirmed by one of their staff in a previous post.

They are making unsolicited marketing calls claiming that "your sky box warranty has expired". They have breached TPS by calling me, therefore I have complained to TPS and would encourage anyone else to do so.

They also hold personal information about me which they confirmed that they "bought" from another party. They refused to declare who this party was under the Data Protection Act. They hold information about me and they can't tell me where they got it from? Hmmm. I have written to their head office above asking that they send me a copy of all the personal information that they hold about me. I would also encourage people to do the same.

One of their staff claimed that "I must have filled in a survey", which of course I did not. The information that they bought could only have come from one of two sources:
1) Sky themselves
2) The store (Laser) from which I bought the Sky package

I may be contacting the Information Commissioner's office depending on the response I receive.

Hi i'm a newbie....some advice please my elderly mother was cold called by a company selling digibox warranties...she paid over the phone realised she'd given sone wrong info rang the tel no she was given and it was no longerin service at this point she realised she possibly had been conned. So has anyone ever gotten a refund from these cowboys

I am going to cause them alot of trouble but would like to hear from anyone who's had the same problem.....and please no replies from any company employees

the number they gave was 08702 600250 which is out of service... have done some digging around and haven't found this is one of the numbers posted on the net as a number they normally use

And dispute the payment with your / her bank or credit card company.

A few months back I had quite an argument with Satellite Direct, they swapped out my newish Sky box and installed a very old box. Took a while and numerous calls/letters but they eventually gave me a better Sky box. So why am I telling you this?

Well, tonight I received an automated call from Satcover (I think). Unfortunately I didn't hear much else as I was far too busy shouting at a machine! But it sounded like they were offering me 2 free tickets to Turkey. Anyway I called the number - 0870 240 2559 and when a human answered I just asked for their name and address. The name was something like One 4 Travel and the address?

Sounds like those cowboys are branching out - you have been warned. Anyway, I have complained to One 4 Travel, the Telephone Preference Service and the Information Communications Office as automated calls are contrary to the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003. Not that it'll do much; a nice long jail sentence would have been nice. Oh and a disqualification from running a company ever again.

Had the same today about a holiday with CLI 0870 240 2559.  Message said call 1471 to return the call.

I'm afraid EVERY geo number you list for them is not correct - gives either a long tone, or a voice saying number not in use.
Their number is 0845 862 1532.   Any way of finding the geo number please ?
Their address is 168 Church Rd, Hove, Brighton BN3 2DL, but this is from a 2006 letter from them, so not sure it is corrrect.

But, they DID give me their Engineers number which IS geo !!!    01243 200150
I had to phone the 0845 to renew my 'subscription' for insuring my Sky+ digibox

They also use 0871 664 1400 which is in their terms and conditions as is the fax number 01243 556304, which is also now NU.

They also go by the name Satcover Ltd and some forums mention the name "Sat Support" for them aswell.

The Satellite Direct UK website gives 01243 200150 as their contact number.

As you can see above, we have, in the past has both 01243 (Chichester) and 01273 (Brighton) numbers, maybe for different parts of their operation.
