I am having a problem setting up the direct debit with 18866 online. Having checked that I have filled all details correctly I get the message:-
'Attempts to verify sort code/account number failed, please try again.' I have emailed 18866 but just get a standard email reply 'everything is fine - try again later'. Has anybody else had this problem? Would be grateful for any suggestions on how to set up the direct debit or get a personalised reply from 18866! Thanks for any help. |

Have a look at 1899.com. Cheaper calling mobiles during the week I believe - albeit with a CCA :( for credit and debit cards.

It's safer to give them the credit card number as there is greater protection in case things go 'wrong' ;)

No probs at all with the company.
The amount per period is so low and it varies so much I wouldnt have proper control of the spend if I left it to direct debit. I use a credit cardpayment, they tell me each time how much I've incurred. |

Another good reason to use 1899 is that you are not going to make the mistake of dialling 118866, instead of 18866, and ending up with an expensive dq call. ;) |

Thank you all for suggestions and help - all very much appreciated. I should add that the direct debit on the website now seems to be working fine. Many thanks again for all the above help.
