Title: Inland Revenue - Working Family Tax Credit (WFTC) Post by nannamoon1 on Oct 20th, 2005 at 5:25pm
chello,
I have been trying to get through to WFTC depatment of Inland Revenue for most of the day now and this is not the first time that this has happend. When I use the 0289 080836 all you seem to get is "all our advisers are busy please hold, you seem to be just kept on hold forever. The other number is the Ireland WFTC number this seem to have an automated reply stating that all lines are busy please call back later, then cuts you off. This happens whatever day or time that you call. I forgot to mention that when you dial the 0845 300 number that get you connected to an operator straight away. Is there another number as this is driving me insane. thank you for any help |

I have put in an FOI to them about this and their response is that they are withholding their number so I'll put in an internal review.

Hello,
Many thanks so far, much appreciated. I had to use the 0845 300 number in the end as I needed to speak to them urgently, but would really appreciate the geographical number back. |

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has found an alternative number for the WFTC office yet? :( |

I work in these offices and it's fair to say that it's a badly organised mess at the best of times.
The best times to call are usually at about 09:01, 11:35, 15:05 and 17:00-17:30. Apart from that it's often a complete nightmare to get through. Good luck. |

I did use the none uk resident number for a whilst before being told by an operator that as I am calling from wihtin the UK they would answer my question this time but refuse to next time.
I kicked off good style and in the end filed a formal complaint with the Tax Office I was then issued with 01772 887761 as the directors office. This number can be a pain to get through on but you can get through. I have just said to the Tax Office that I have had to bar all 08 telephone number due to a massive bill run up by 0870 numbers and that I can't access and they and therefore require an alt geo number Regards M3SSN |
