Title: Read the public's 98 comments to Ofcom here.... Post by bbb_uk on Nov 11th, 2005 at 2:13pm
Well AJR provides a useful service with the 'Way Forward' consultation responses update so I thought I'd provide one about the other consultation.
The other consultation is titled, "Providing citizens and consumers with improved information about Number Translation Services and Premium Rate Services" and due to lack of responses most people I believe have forgotten about it. The second consultation basically just ensures that the telco's provide more and clear information about the cost of these numbers instead of hiding them away somewhere on their websites, etc. If teleco's were forced to be upfront about the cost of these numbers (upto 40ppm from mobiles) then I'm sure there would be more consumer outrage and therefore more support on our side. To date, only 14 people have responded to this consultation that has the same deadline as the 'Way Forward' consultation. Those responded are:- Amery, John Drinkwater, John Feltham, Dr R D Fraser, Bill Giles, Dougall Harding, Robin Harmer, Derrrick Harvey, John Individual 1 Individual 2 Individual 3 Perks, Anderw Taylor, Peter Warr, S V These responses can be viewed here Please remember to respond to this consultation as well. More information is available (including a questionnaire response form) from here. |
