Just called local council(redcar&cleveland)on their geographical number,i was greeted by a recorded message telling me that as from december this number will be scrapped and you will need to call 0845 number,i mentioned this to the operator when i connected who did not seem intrested and said it was to make it better for people calling from out of the area,surely its the local council who needs to call from other areas?also i mentioned about the end of inclusive mobile/talk 24 calls as these do not allow ngn numbers no reply.
Another goverment department jumping on the 0845/0870 band wagon,ban these bl--dy numbers.
