You havent give us much info to go on have you! Did you bother to look for yourself.I just googled which came up with
Opera Telecom Supersite. The contact no is shown as 0808 13 13 131 Another site you might find useful is www.grumbletext.co.uk |

After waiting the whole weekend to talk to these people , they fob me off on to a crowd called 1st choice. They have an address in Norwich . Their landline number on their site goes dead after ringing. I've looked for an alternative for there premium rate no. No joy.
Anybody else got any ideas on these people dan |

I assume its not possible to yet complain to www.icstis.org.uk about reverse text message scams although I think it should be possible soon given the contents of a current consultation to bring all Premium Rate services using mobiles under ICSTIS control. My suggestion would be email Opera, reach deadlock with them (take non reply as deadlock), then approach www.otelo.org.uk to see if they belong to their Alternate Dispute Resolution Scheme. If they are not registered with Otelo email Ofcom Director of Investigations (david.stewart@ofcom.org.uk) asking him to investigate Opera's lack of an ADR scheme. Don't bother with the Ofcom Contact Centre who employ staff hand picked for their ability to claims nothing is Ofcom's problem and their total lack of any sympathetic customer manner. I have received unsolicited emails exhorting me to call 09 prize lines for which the telecoms provider was Opera. I registered complaints about those on the www.icstis.org.uk website. It seems that Opera is willing to run 09 and 07 scam lines for any dodgy scamline company. Companies like Opera should be closed down by Ofcom if of course Ofcom actually had any regulatory teeth. :-X ::) |

Since my last post , I have now moved on to a company called !st choice spares , whom it appears I had inadvertantly signed up for a text message from them once a month to tell me they are selling spares. I have cancelled their messages and complained to them without any success.
They gave me the line 'that I agreed to it'. In other words double check the small print in every little thing one comes across. Another shark company.Beware!! But of coarse Opera Telecom were doing their dirty work in cahoots.Looks like I have lost this one. :'( |

Sincere commiserations, but thank you for the warning about checking the small print and also about confusingly similar names - grrrr.
Hmm, that has come out like the clever (?) HSBC greyed-out statement helpsheet designs. What an end to UK05 :'( |
