Obviously, I did read the site guide first, otherwise I wouldn't have posted a request. The site did not come up with an alternative. The unverified entries section would not display, site may be busy or badly designed. Please help
Thank you DP |

You obviously didn't try very hard - If you search for "Saga" in the list of verified numbers, there is an entry for "Saga Group - All departments" - this gives you a contact number and a link to Saga's own website which gives an alternative geographic number for their switchboard! |

Thank you Derrick for being so helpful. As for Trevord.....well what can I say? Very unhelpful as you will find they are not very keen on putting you through to the glass claims dept from the area. I find it is best to help rather than criticise. Tyr harder next time

Well. I'm sorry if it wasn't helpful - clearly I didn't try the number for you. But as you didn't say what you had tried, how are others to know when they try to help you? In fact you specifically stated that you didn't find "an alternative" on the site: You say: dirtypaws wrote on Dec 21st, 2005 at 11:20am:
I was merely pointing out that there was "an alternative" listed - you didn't say it wasn't any use. You say you read the site guide, but obviously not very well - it says: << When posting a request give as much information as possible. Make the title of the thread the organisation/company's name. [Not just "Alternative number"!] Include the following if you know it: * the non-geographical number you are looking for an alternative for * a full address including post code * website address * type of business * any other useful information you can think of >> and << When you do make a request in the forum, please supply as much information as you have. Make the title of the thread the organisation/company's name. ... Those trying to find the number have to do some spadework which the requestor should have done. ... Posting just a non-geographical number and company is considered rude. ... >> What you have already tried is clearly "useful information" - otherwise people end up giving you information that you have already tried, as happened here. Please help others to help you! TD |
