Title: 18866 - a lesson learned!! Post by omy on Dec 22nd, 2005 at 9:52am
Just got my BT bill and see that of my £1.73(!) quarterly calls charge, £1.30 of it is for an 'error' call when someone here (wife/son not owning up of course) mistakenly dialled 11866, and in the SIX seconds before realising was hit with £1.30!! (£13 an hour!!)
Take care with 18866 dialup. But it still saves me a fortune. Considering 18185, but will wait till New Year to see if rates follow 18866 first, bit of a hassle re-programming all the house phones. Merry Xmas to all. ::) ;D |

Reprogramming phones? - a snap! (as Americans say) or nae bother! (as we Glaswegians say) with an auto dialler. You'll find several threads on this site ;D

Warning if you dial 118185 instead of 18185 you also get an expensive DQ service.

Well, let's hope that when Ofcom fills its Numbering Advisor vacancy they have someone experienced.
Good Luck NGM. |
