Barclays Security is part of Barclays on Line. Their number is 0870 156 6485. Calls are prolongued by waiting time and then passing between departments.

Didn't know that they had a security section. ;D
Had doubted it since receiving emails addressed "Dear Title Surname". |

Amusing but not helpful. It's cheaper phone calls that I need

This is from their website:
If you think you've given away your security details call the helpdesk on 0845 600 2323*, Monday to Sunday 7am-11pm. Outside the UK dial +44 247 684 2063*. I have phoned the "outside the UK" number successfully, although as I use Voipcheap, it probably shows up as a call from abroad on their system. Even if you are not successful with that number, the 0845 will be cheaper than the 0870. Let us know how you get on. |

Just had to phone them again and was put on hold for 46 minutes!!!!!! I'm glad the Voipcheap call was free!
Shocking customer "service". In the end I never got through to the department I needed and they will now call me back. Hmm, I wonder when that will happen. |

Sorry. I take your point, but it was also intended as an overall indication (warning?) of service, standards etc. Will try to be more helptul. |

By the way, Tanllan, Barclays Online NEVER send emails so the ones you received must have been scams. Hope you didn't reply to them! |

Well I just received one from Barclays saying they've updated the SSL on their site to make it more secure. It's a bit strange, though, as the address for the site starts http://www.thefreeskytv.com/
The e-mail is signed "J S Smith" - you'd think they could come up with something a bit more original! |

We did not, but the "sender" was no-reply-barclaycard@email.barclays.co.uk and all the links actually pointed to barclaycard.co.uk. The former easy to add, but the latter less frequently done, let alone well. In due course I will put it on a spare website... :) |

We had one of these emails and I rang Barclays and sent the email to their security. I'm afraid if you followed any links in these bogus emails you possibly confirmed your email address to the sender and they are probably sending you junk.
