Hi, I need the number for Sky By Broadband, the 0870 number is 0870 6094508. I have tried the normal Freephone number but they have no idea what I am talking about. In fact thay say that they have no such service as 'Sky By Broadband' so much for comunication with staff at Sky TV.

Is Sky an ISP now?

Hi, Sky By Broadband is a new service for Sky subscribers. If you subscribe to Sky Sports or Sky Movies you can download the sport programmes and movies to your hard drive. You can then view them when you want, the help line is a 0870 number. The normal freephone number is of no help. I am guessing that it's still in Scotland as when I did get through on the 0870 number the chap had a Scottish accent.

Hi, well after trying to get this service to work for two weeks I have given up. Sky say it's my end most likely my Firewall which is Zone Alarm Pro. I have switched this off and it still will not download anything. Good luck if your installing it yourself.

Thanks, but I have installed it and works OK, my problem is to login. My wife can login but I can't. I Have also found out that Sky by Broadband operate from Dunfermline, Fife which is code 01383.

hi to u all im very new so here goes.
i got sky and now u can download films from sky broadband BUTif u are having problems loging on to sky a phone no comes up 0870 6094508 for tec help is there a diffrent no any1 im not working and reg disabled 4 -8years.so i dont really wana pay sky there rates

If you search the database for Sky, there are some suggestions. It also ponits to this thread:

There, people suggest calling the freephone number 0800 587 5707, and holding on without pressing the star key when told to. This puts you through to an operator who can connect you.

I'm not sure if this will get you to the right place for your particular problem, but you can try.

I have tried today with this number and if you hold on it just cuts you off >:( i want to get Sky tv at home and want to ask a human a few questions but no way am i ringing 0870 2424242 do companies realise how many customers they are loosing with these numbers
