It would actually help if you searched the lists of numbers on this web-site. ::)
If you search "William" in the unverified list, you get two hits, one of which gives 0207 7055252. As your message gives no info as to what branch / department / office you are after, I have no idea whether this is what you want. :-/ It would also help if you gave as much information as possible aboult what you are after as requested in the Notes at the top of this forum. Then you might get a better response, instead of largely being ignored. :( |

Just read the thread, and was about to post a joke similair to bill.
But then again, with such a thread, the odds on such a joke are pretty high |

Hi, does anyone know the 02...number of william hill (bookmaker) which is 0800223311.
Does anyone also know the number of Coral (bookmaker) which has a freephone (no from mobiles) 0800 242 2232? It's probably not available but someone might know. Thanks |

This is their head office
William Hill Greenside House 50 Station Road Wood Green London N22 7TP United Kingdom or ring 020 8918 3600 for general enquiries. |

I've joined your thread to the existing one. You can use the dial through numbers 020 0222 0700 or 020 0222 0900 to call freephone (0800/0808/0500) numbers from mobiles at 01/02 rates. ;) You should be able to program it in your address book using a 'pause' between 020 number and destination 0800 number. |

0800223311 (William Hill) and 0800242232 (Coral) are both Customer Betting lines. They are NOT free on mobiles. I hope this makes it clearer although it looks likely that these are difficult numbers to find.
Thanks to everyone who have contributed. Hils |

We know that they are not free from mobiles. Hence saying that you use one of the 020 call through numbers before dialling them. |
Title: Re: William Hill Post by hroberts on Oct 29th, 2007 at 5:43pm
Dave,
Thanks for the inforation on 0200 numbers. I am sorry if this sounds foolish but do I actually programe the number in? Do I type in all the numbers including the 0800 number? I do not understand how you would pause after 020? Thanks Hils |
Title: Re: William Hill Post by Dave on Oct 29th, 2007 at 5:51pm hroberts wrote on Oct 29th, 2007 at 5:43pm:
You can either store the 020 number in your phone's memory: 020 0222 0700 Then dial that number by selecting the entry in the phone book. When it answers, you manually type in the 0800 number you want to call. Or you can program one entry per 0800 you want to dial. For example, William Hill: 02002220700p0800223311 I use 'p' here to indicate pause. Different phone manufacturers use different keys and different symbols. Nokia uses the letter p and you have to press * a few times until it appears. What make is your handset? |
Title: Re: William Hill Post by hroberts on Oct 30th, 2007 at 2:19pm
Dear Dave,
Once again, thanks for the information. I currently use a blackberry. I tried what you suggested with the letter P after 02002220700p0800223311 but I still only get the message to diall the 0800 number. Maybe a blackberry works differently but even if there is no solution, you've been most helpful already. Appreciate it. Hilary |
Title: Re: William Hill Post by jgxenite on Oct 30th, 2007 at 2:34pm
Hilary,
The letter "p" may not necessary be the pause key for a Blackberry. You may need to look in your manual to find out what key to press. I believe with Nokia phones that you can usually press the hash (#) key a few times to insert a pause, but don't hold me to that. If your phone doesn't have a pause key (I've yet to find one for my O2 XDA) then you'll probably have to end the number manually at the prompt. |

Title: Re: William Hill Post by hroberts on Oct 30th, 2007 at 6:05pm
Thank you. I will work on the pause key but otherwise it's a better alternative than the 0800 number.
While I am at it, I may as well ask if anyone knows the geographical number of 08712 444666. It is a commentary line which charges 10p a minute on a landline but god knows what it is on my mobile. If anyone knows it, once again I would like to know. It belongs to William Hill. Thanks Hils |

Title: Re: William Hill Post by Striker on Mar 18th, 2008 at 11:17pm
For the William Hill betting call centre, I have been using 0113 296 8006. Their call centre is based in Leeds, hence the number, and I've been using it for over a year. What's more, you will be amazed at how quickly you get through to place your bet (often no ring tone at all).
The only other geographic number for a bookmaker call centre I have is for Stan James, and this is 01235 777000. I have tried most of the others by asking them directly, and other than the above two, have had no success. They all use 0800 numbers, which is fine off a landline, but annoying when charged from a mobile. I would be delighted to hear from anyone with an '01' number for William Hill radio/commentary, 08712 444666 |

Title: william hill radio/betting line Post by magiccole on Jun 5th, 2009 at 10:11pm
Hi guys, just hoping someone can help. Im an avid horse race fan and have loved listening to William Hill radio on my mobile for the last year or so and the commentary that they provide.
The number i found from this site way back then which gets you trough to their priority betting line and radio commentary service is 020 110 48000, but for the last week all i get i an automated voice saying ' i'm sorry this service is temporarilly out of order'. The 0800 betting line however still funtions perfectly. Is this because they've stumbled across the fact that this number is being used as a freebee so to speak? Up until this week i used to listen to the service using my bluetooth headset on the way home from work, now im stuffed and sadly feel lost without what i have become accustomed to every day on the way home from work. Ive tried all of the other geo numbers on here under william hill but none take me through to the same service. Can anyone help please in finding an alternative. Thank you Magiccole |

020 11048900 is the WH Information Service. ;) 020 10091000 is also William Hill Information Service, although sometimes it is not recognised from a BT line. Calling it via 18185 it seems to always be available. Do let us know whether it's any good to you from your mobile. |

Hi guys, just hoping someone can help.
The new number that Dave provided 020 11048900 also seems to have been struck down by the curse of "i'm sorry this service is temporarilly out of order". The 0800 betting line however still funtions perfectly. Any ideas? |

Unfortunately I can't get 020 10091000 to work from either my 02 or vodafone mobile or my landline - does anyone have any suggestions?
Or does anyone have any other 020 numbers for other horse racing commentary services such as betfair, ladbrokes etc? cheers |

The 020 1009 1000 number does work, but not directly from BT landlines (and maybe others). I called it just now through 18185 from my BT landline. We have found three other numbers which worked reliably from all providers and on publication they were disabled. It seems likely that that will happen again should another number be found and published. |

Hi Dave thanks for the quick reply.
Not sure i understand what you mean by 18185? I want to use my mobile which is on virgin account and use it whilst at work. What is the exact number i would have to put in to access WHill radio? Thanks again Rob |

18185 is a provider. See ]www.18185.co.uk You register with them and tell them the telephone number(s) you will be accessing the service from. From BT lines you can dial the 18185 prefix followed by destination number. 01/02/03 numbers are charged at 5p per call. From non-BT lines and mobiles, they provide geographical and freephone access numbers for the service. The charges levied by 18185 for calling numbers via these numbers are higher than via the 18185 prefix from a BT line. These charges are set out on 18185's website here. To access the service from your mobile phone you will dial 020 8180 2828, which is 18185's geographical access number. When this answers, dial the 020 number for William Hill. You will be charged by your mobile provider for calling 020 8180 2828 (or it will come from inclusive minutes if applicable) and by 18185 with 5p connection plus 1p per minute for dialling the WH destination number. voo7hees wrote on Jul 3rd, 2009 at 5:50pm:
From Virgin Mobile's list of charges, the 0871 number will cost 15 pence per minute at all times. So any alternative we find needs to cost you less than that to make it worth your while using it. Whether this is the case from your Virgin Mobile phone depends on your tariff. Can you access 020 1009 1000 from your work phone? |
Title: Re: William Hill Post by voo7hees on Jul 4th, 2009 at 11:58am
cheers Dave
will have a look at the 18185 site I get 300 free minutes with my virgin tariff and always have about 250 free when end of month comes up so not too bothered about using up a few free minutes Will check that other number when i go to work on monday. Thanks again Rob |
Title: Re: William Hill Post by voo7hees on Jul 5th, 2009 at 11:12am
Hi Dave
The 020 1009 1000 number is not recogonised from my home Virgin phone so will presume it wont be recogised from work's phone which is BT if i rememeber rightly. |
Title: Re: William Hill Post by smudge66 on Jul 15th, 2009 at 3:07pm
Just registered to 18185 and the 020 1009 1000 works fine from both my o2 and vodafone mobiles.
As WH seem to keep shutting down the numbers you find for them does anyone have an alternative for the Coral commentary line which is 08712 000 000 Cheers |

hi all trying to get the land line number for this number thanks ...
0800 31 88 44 the company is william hill |
Title: Re: HELP WITH NUMBER Post by jgxenite on Apr 9th, 2010 at 9:31am
From a landline, that number is free so an alternative shouldn't be required. If you're wanting to call it from a mobile, you can use a callthrough number like the ones on 0800buster.co.uk. If you call the landline number then enter the 0800 number, you will be charged your normal landline rate (or inclusive if you have a package).

I fear that the two William Hill commentary line numbers aren't working now - the 0201 104 8900 hasn't worked for a long time now (and strangely seems to be an order line for someone), and the 0201 009 1000 appears to ahve stopped working (although it COULD still be a temporary blip).
Any help appreciated. |

The telephone number for the William Hill Information Service 020 1009 1000 has not worked on my 3 mobile since last Wednesday 14/10.
A recorded message says "I'm sorry this service is temporarily out of order, please try again later." It's the exact message with the same female voice speaking as 020 1104 8900 which was the old number. Does anyone know of a new 020 number? Thanks. |
