Title: Orchid V4 Dialler Post by Wally on Feb 25th, 2006 at 10:05am
Just wondering if there was an easy way for the dialler to be 'forced home' to pick up its settings. The problem I have is if the physical connection is interrupted for any reason then the dialler has to be reprogrammed. I have one for my parents so if theirs needs to be updated then they will never be able to go through the process of reprogramming. I have the information on my PC but they still have to force the dialler to 'call home'. Any ideas?

Dial ***12#4567890*3 Then hang up.
The LED on the Orchid Dialler should then flash for a min while it dials up. |

I know, that's what I do. You have to do it twice and if you don't get the gap in between the two dialups right then it doesn't work. I can't always get it to work so I can't see my parents getting it to work at all. I don't fancy a trip down there especially to do it for them when someone accidentally unplugs the dialler. It loses its timer settings then you see, ie. it doesn't have the correct time/day set up.

I've only ever done it once to uploading new routes table & it works for me.
