Title: Craig Croft Medical Centre - 0844 4773047 Post by runninggoose on Mar 2nd, 2006 at 9:50am
my doctors have changed their number from a normal landline.
it now starts with 0844 i asked for their normal number but they said they dont have one. lets say i was abroad and needed to contact my doctor, i wouldnt be able too. plus i pay £30 per month for free day time calls. any ideas how to get their normal number. tried web searches but nothing. and the the receptionist wont budge. i have two very ill and disabled family members and appointents and prescriptions and other calls to doctors are frequent and they keep you waiting ages before they talk after their message :-[ answers. its daylight robbery. plus theirs is a 2 minute menu section as well. why cant they leave things alone thanks in advance ~ Edit by Dave: Thread title amended |

...or more likely, a slick and oily salesperson; a dumb and technologically awestruck practice manager and a bunch of doctors who are too busy and far too wealthy to really care! >:(

yes i agree greed. tried ringing the landline it tells you to ring the 0844 and as for them letting you borrow their phone its the only doctors i have ever been too that when asked to provide a wee specimen you have to ask for the key to the toilet infront of everybody. i didnt even know they had a web site, the practice looks nothing like that picture ..its all covered in metal bars to help keep the sick out.. thanks for taking the time to answer. will try and get them to let me use their phone. |

well its been a while but still not found out their landline number. Service at the practice has got worse and threir web site has disappeared off the face of the planet.
told the surgery that i was going to italy(white lie) and may need to contact someone at the sugery from there. was told to to either use the internet to gain access to nhs direct or ring them. there numbers start with a 08 too. plus the other day they kept us waiting in line for 14 minutes on the phone while a blood test was booked. the surgery must be raking in the money now but the same old clapped out chairs and 20 year old beano books and the 50 year old lego for the kids has not been replaced but they have fancy new touch screen to let them know you have arrived while they sit listening to the phone ring while people are already in the phone queue wasting money. plus a little tiny tiny tv so high up that someone with binoculars could not see it. The toilets still have no bog roll and the key is still guarded by the worse than mrs raven receptionist. the cord carpet is smelly dirty and un hygenic so just where is all this extra phone call money going because they told patients they would be able to improve the surgery but i thought our National insurance and tax and had already paid for that, were bloody paying twice for a service that is twice of bad if not even worse. As the granny on catherine tate would say its a f-ing liberty are we bovered yes we f-ing well are...how very dare they. ....... :'( a very nice man wrote on Mar 2nd, 2006 at 10:04am:
