I know that I posted a while ago that UK Info version 1 enabled this facility. My disk is now very out of date.

Does anyone know if any of the overseas sites provide the facility for UK numbers.
They want a sign up fee of about $30, which I would pay if I could be sure of getting results. They have no email contact to enable me to check the point.

AFAIK reverse search directory enquiries services are illegal in the UK.

Yes Dave, I think that it stemed from a ruling by the Data Protection Commision, in cahoots with Oftel.
We are one of the very few countries whereby a person can look up and ring us at our known location, but are protected from us knowing who and where they are.

Whilst it is apparently illegal to provide the information in GB, it would not be illegal for a company in another country to make the information available. It was just this point that I was asking for anyone else's experiences.
