Title: Forwarding emails
Post by Barbara on Mar 28th, 2006 at 5:52pm
Don't think there is an approriate thread for this but it is a bit of a technical site related enquiry.  Is there a way I can forward an email I have received from Tesco direct to the site or do I have to retype it again?   I believe there is a thread somewhere for Tesco, I have been trying to obtain the local store number without success and I think the response I have received would be of interest to all.

I would copy & paste it:
Highlight the relevant bits of the e-mail, press Ctrl-C,
go to Post Reply in the relevant forum and press Ctrl-V.
Hey Presto, your e-mail from Tesco should be in your response.

If you want to make it look pretty by enclosing the quoted bit in a quote box:
- precede the quoted bit by the word "quote" in square brackets (omit the quote marks),
- and after the end of it type put "/quote" in square brackets (also without the quote marks, but with the back-slash within the square brackets).

Hope this helps.

Just copy and paste it into the reply box.

You could put it in a quote box

Quote:
like this

by entering:

Code (][quote):
like this
Another example is:

Code (][quote):
Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you for your letter...

Yours sincerely
which gives:

Quote:
Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you for your letter...

Yours sincerely
