Please take some time to look at the posting instructions.  ::)

What is PC Service Call? Does it have anything to do with PC World? What alternative number have you tried? ...please post it on here as my psychic brain is having a day off.

Ah, right.

The number that you tried is 0115 9883663 and it is now out of service.

PC ServiceCall's website is ]www.pcservicecall.co.uk.

From About PC ServiceCall:

Quote:
Summary
Who are PC ServiceCall?
More Information
Based in Nottingham, UK, PC ServiceCall provides after sales computer and software technical support for Dixons, Currys, PC World and The Link. We are one of the largest technical support organisations in the UK with over 600 telephone support technicians and over 250 mobile engineers.

I've been unable to get an address, but going by the terms and conditions, privacy policy and a whois of the domain name, PC ServiceCall is part of DSG (Dixons Store Group).

There are a couple of numbers in the unverified listings:
 • 0500 800510 No description as to what this number is for.
 • 0800 0565732, option 3 for repairs and technical

I would be give 0800 0565732 a try.

I note that TechGuys lie about 0844 being "national rate" and 0845 being "local rate".

Hi luke123,
Did you bought the product from currys, dixon, pc world group? I think this techguys and mastercare are same. They are the support services for currys, dixon, pc world group. If you have an extended warranty, you can give mastercare numbers in the database a try. Good luck.

Iknow mastercare can kind of help...not directly related to Tech guys service people...but the mastercare numbers still dont work I tried them all. The only mastercare number that can help is 0870 6001550, but no suitbale alternative. I have already put a request foor this number and I dont think anyone has one. :(

All numbers listed in the database for techguys are not working anymore. Techguys gone greedy, when you ring all the alternative numbers in database (  01522 502000 ,01623 689806,01623 689807,01623 689808 , 0115 988 3156, 0800 0232300 ) it will ask you to ring 0844 800 6020 . Any help to find other alternatives is most appreciated. Gudman

Thanks for this.

For the record, the responses from those numbers are as follows:
01522 502000 not recognised
01623 689806 temporarily out of order
01623 689807 temporarily out of order
01623 689808 temporarily out of order
0115 988 3156 recording; "Sorry, but the service no longer exists…"; redirects to Tech Guys on 0844 number
0800 023 2300 recording; "Sorry, but the service no longer exists…"; redirects to Tech Guys on 0844 number (very similar/same wording to 0115 988 3156, but different voice

I have removed all of these numbers from the database.

In the unverified listings, there is 0800 023 4701 which is answered as The Tech Guys. You could try that.

A search of the forum for other instances of "Tech Guys" returns this posting from January this year in which I found 01727 202113 at DSG's head office to be The Tech Guys. Unfortunately, this number is now temporarily out of order.

Alternatively, from my work on this forum, I understand that the are Tech Guys within each branch of PC World, so it may be worth looking for a number to speak to your local branch.

Whatever you try, let us know and tell us what response you get. I will list any alternatives you advise work sucessfully.
