Just found this site, looks quite handy. I'm trying to find a Geographical number for the Preston North End Ticket Office.
They now use 0870 442 1966. If you ring the old geographical number you get a message telling you to ring 0870 442 1966. Will this 0870 number definately have a geographical number assigned to it, as well.?
If you ring the geographical  "general enquiries" number they don't put you through but just give you the 0870 number. Sounds like they got me cornered

Almost definately, I think that will be the case.

What is the old geographical number? What is the general number you rang as the website shows an 0870?

The old ticket office number was 01772-902222. The main office number is 01772 693356. Thst's at the bottom of the page with the 0870 numbers on.

No, the website shows 0870 numbers for all its phone numbers. The geographical numbers are fax numbers:

Main office 01772 693366
Ticket office 01772 693365

Did you really dial 693356 for the office, or was that a typo? It might be worth trying all the numbers 69335x and 69336x as this seems to be their range. I presume they have a separate line for faxes, but you could still try dialling it.

yes it was a typo the number i rang was 01772 902020.

That number is good for a start, as there is no geographical office number for them. If someone wants to call them for a reason other than buying tickets, that number should be in the database.

01772 902222 is [from a technical point of view] still in service. It is Preston North End that have put a recording on rather than having it cut off and a network announcement giving the 'new' number.
