I think the company has been trading under this name, since the early 90s.
They have apparently moved to this address from either Polmont or Haypark. I've tracked down a previous landline, 01364 718142, but that's unobtainable ...

I've even tried asking them what number I'd need to dial if I was wanting to call them from abroad (in the hope that this would elicit a landline number) but no joy.

01324 is the code for Falkirk, so this is the correct code. 01364 is in Devon.

The first result from Googling PALIMPSEST 01324 is the contact page on the Palimpsest website and the cached version has the 01324 718142 number on, with the Polmont address. This was retrieved on 22 May 2006, so have they moved since then?

If so, then I think that you will be looking for something that isn't there because they won't have published the new 01324 number, so you won't find it on the internet.

Yep, sorry about the 01364 mistake - it's an exchange I often dial, so my fingers kinda went on auto.
I've even emailed a friend in St Lucia asking if he's got the landline number for Palimpsest, but no joy.
I guess they must have moved since May - but this is the first time I've ever been in touch with them, so I don't know ...
So if the number's not been published, and not on the net, and when I ask them they won't give it to me, is that a dead end? Unless I go to Scotland and knock on their door?

Perhaps your friend in St Lucia can e-mail them saying that he can't call UK 0870 numbers, and could they provide him with an alternative number.

I think that it will be far more expensive for your friend to call a +44 870 number from abroad than a +44 1324 one.

Brilliant! Even thougb it's not so much for him (he'll probably do most stuff by email) as it is for me - I need to be phoning these guys.
