Can you please help to how to find an alternative for 08716688822 ??

My husband is an engineer in Iraq. He has a mobile phone there which I can get through to him by dialling that number.

It is costing me about 0.12 p a minute and I wonder if you can help..

I assume you meant 12p per min rather than 0.12p.
You can do better, down to as low as 6p per min. Have a look here for other numbers.

As Very Nice Man has pointed out their are cheaper suppliers of calls to Iraq.

However the 0871 number you quote is being  used legitimately for the provision of cheap call services.How do you expect the supplier to make any money providing the service if the georaphical number was available. ::)

From a BT landline this particular 0871 number is charged at 10p/min at all times. Are you calling from a BT landline?

I assume you mean he has an Iraq mobile and you are calling him from a BT landline in the UK.

If so, there are 2 dial-through providers offering 6p/minute rates:

0871 759 25 25              

0871 754 90 90
