Hi all,

I've been working for a local plumbers on and off for a few weeks, and we've had to call the Plumb Center call centre a number of times as the branches we have been dealing with have been pretty poor when it comes to dealing with our orders ... getting wrong parts etc.

The only number we have been given is 08701 622557, which I know is a premium rate!

I've tried searching the net and this site for an alternative but to no avail!

I haven't a clue unfortunately where the call centre is based, but if anyone can offer some help in obtaining a none premium rate that would be great.

Which branch are you after?

Go to http://www.plumbcenter.co.uk/plumb/index.html

Left hand side under the yellow search box is "download branches"
Click it and you will find all the branches, and first glance shows they have landlines.

Plumb Center, along with its sister companies of similar names (listed here) are operated by Wolseley UK.

Contact information on the Plumb Center website is here. It gives some 01765 numbers for certain enquiries, along with the 0870 you quote for others. The general enquiries number is 01765 690690 which is also given on the Wolseley contact page. I think that this is the switchboard for the Ripon office. Note that the company's head office is in Leamington Spa, although customer enquiries appear to be dealt with in Ripon.

cheerz for that peepz, but I had already tried looking for it on those pages, although I must admit that I haven't tried the Wolseley one ..... the branches I have been dealing with are in Truro (cornwall) and Plymouth, but both would only give me the 08701 number for the call centre ... infact both didn't know of a none premium number!!

I'll have another look through the Wolseley and Plumb Center websites and see what I can come up with.

However, if you went back to the page I suggested earlier, and looked for Truro or Plymouth, using control + f, then you would have found the numbers there also.

thanks for that 'a very nice man' ... but I already have those numbers, there the branches I have already been ringing .... its the call centre I am after .... because I'm always having problems with the branches I've been in contact with the call centre on many occassions trying to get them to sort out the branches mistakes, but both the branches and the call centre will not give me any other number than the 08701 number!!

Going by the numbers on the contact page, I think that their numbers start 01765 6942xx, 3xx & 4xx. There may be others.

I tried 01765 694200 through to 694450, none were for Plumb Center, but quite a few answered "Wolseley UK".

If the switchboard won't put you through, then you'll have to carry on from where I left off. Although it sounds sad, it's the only way because the number won't be publicised. Best to do it out of hours and withhold your number!
