Hi! Is there anyway that i am to get an alternative number for my halls of residence phone, so that people can ring from there landline? Its 0870 3579XXX. Hope that is enough information. Thanks, Fleur.

From the number you've given, I think it'll be the same as Southampton University's numbers, as they actually have Winchester 01962 numbers. The thread for Southampton University halls numbers is here. ;)

Please come back and say whether it works or not.

Firstly thank you very much for your quick response and the thread that you have given me. I think i am being a bit blonde about this, but it wont work!! I have tried 01962 and then added 62, 63, 64 like it suggested from the link you gave me, but it is not working. I have my own phone in my room with my own number. My extension number is 29***. Any suggestions? Sorry!! Thanks!

So your number is 0870 3579xxx. Is the geographical number therefore 01962 679xxx?

I can confirm that the geographical number is 01962 629*** which relates to the internal extension number 29*** as I phoned it and spoke to Fleur.
