Title: Department of Work and Pensions - 0845 helplines
Post by lompos on Sep 28th, 2006 at 5:41pm
It has been reported in The Times (26 September), quoting New Start, that last year the DWP received £268,000 through the use of their 0845 prefix helplines.

This was apparently revealed in response to a FOI request.

A DWP spokesperson reacted by saying that they were trying to "poverty proof" their policies.

Speaks for itself.

:(

Who are they trying to proof against poverty then?  It would seem themselves rather than their claimants? ;)
