Does anyone know an alternative number(s) to the 0871 etc. gateways numbers for called overseas...particularly Romania?

This would be helpful as we now have free 01/02 nos via BT and would like to call home more! We cannot use Skype as the recipient does not have a PC!

Those 0871 numbers are being legitimately used for the provision of cheap call services. The provider has to make some revenue from them  to run the service. ;)

Your best bet would be to register with  www.18185.co.uk 4p connection 2p a minute to Romania,and you would also benefit from cheaper mobile,and ngn calls. :)

Alternatively, you could try 0844 439 2424 at only 3p/min. See Money saving expert for up-to-date info.
