Title: HSBC Business telephone banking (automated) Post by Karen on Nov 3rd, 2006 at 1:52pm
Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this website. I've been using it for quite some time now and have enjoyed receiving telephone bills that list very few 0845/0870 charges!
Today, one of my most used phone numbers: 01226 260878, which is the alternative one listed for HSBC Business telephone banking (automated) 0845 7606060, stop working. I tried the trick mentioned on this website about adding 141 before the number, but that didn't work either. Has anyone else found that the 01226 260878 for HSBC Business telephone banking (automated) doesn't work? Any ideas why? Thanks for your help. Karen |

I've just called 01226 260878 and it answers as HSBC and requests a sort code etc. Try it again.
HSBC has provided alternative numbers like this for overseas customers, so I doubt it would change. |

Dave
Thanks for your reply. Strangely, I am able to get through to that number use my mobile, but still not my landline number. I decided to call BT and find out if I had a fault with my landline, and they have let me know that the 01226 260878 number for HSBC is currently having work done, so that is why not all calls are successfully getting through. Thanks again Karen |

Can anyone else phone 01226 260878 from a landline and get through to HSBC's automated business banking service?
I still can't even when I put 141 before the number. I know that when I spoke to BT they told me that line was having repairs done, but I can get through on my mobile. If you're wondering why I don't just phone HSBC using my mobile instead of worrying about the landline, it's because we have rubbish mobile reception where we live and I sometimes get cut off in the middle of a call, which is quite frustrating when you've just gone through a lengthy automated process. If anyone could shed some light on why I might not be able to get through or if anyone else is experiencing the same problems, I'd be interested to hear. Thanks Karen |
