Can someone please give me some pointers... looking for geo number for dial up internet 0845 123 2002

There is no username / pwd needed, so i was going to use my mobile

Please let me know if there is any other service i can use if there is no geo number for this..

There are lots of so-called "free" internet service providers, My Dialup is one of them, see a list here: http://www.freebielist.com/isp.htm

"Free" in this context only means that to enable internet use you don't have to have a contract for a fixed period. Otherwise the service is not free, you pay for the cost of an 0845 or 0844 call, that is the way they make their money. For this reason it is unlikely that an underlying geographic number can be found for these internet service providers, otherwise they would provide a genuinely free service and would go bust.

True... but I found the BT Yahoo Dial Up (0845) geographical number in the Database, but I can not get it to work on my phone so I was going to try another isp.

Ace Internet apparently does provide a geographical access number but one has to have a min. 3 months contract with them.

I think you'll find that's for contacting customer services and technical support.

What I am trying to do is set up a Dial up internet connection on my pda/phone (XDA IIi) I currently have Vodafone PAYG and use the £5 weekly spend, free weekend calls offer, I need a geo number to dial up to the ISP not to call there tech support etc. I have tried bt yahoo and it does not work with my phone, it says no modem on the other end but my pc will dial it no probs???
