This number 0870 2243494 is the support and helpline number for internet service and free webspace provider IOFM.NET.

Since I am having problems with my website at the moment I am trying to find an alternative number for them.

Whenever they answer tghe phone, I get the distinct inpression that the company answering the phone is NOT IOFM.NET, but rather another unternet provider who have been sub contracted by IOFM.NET.

Any help appreciated.

If this is the case, then unless we have the name and ideally contact details of this other company they are using as subcontractors then we can't help much.

Also, IOFM's website doesn't mention an address or other contact details which makes it harder for to check.

Well at least 0845 is cheaper than 0870

Thanks for your help so far.  That 0845 number is the ISP dial up number.

I have made a bit more progress.  As I am still having problems, I tried the help line again.  This time I asked them who I was speaking to.  It's a company called Enta Net   www.Entanet.co.uk  and this is their technical support line.  I still can't find an alternative to the 0870 number.

As they still can't help me, I asked if they have a number for IOFM.NET.  They gave me an 01253 number, but when I tried it, it sounds more like an answer phone on someone's personal number, so I won't post it here until I am sure it is a correct number.  I'm now going to leave a message on that number to see if it is of any help.

01253 is the code for Blackpool, not a personal number, they begin 070.

Entanet are the people that several firms use under differing banners.

I managed to find the following numbers for Entanet:-

01952 291911 - from BT DQ.
01952 428858 - from this google search.
01952 428937 - from this google search.
0500 368263 - from this google search.

I suggest trying the number by AVNM (in previous post) and those above.  Some are obviously not the correct dept so just ask for "technical support" and see where that gets you.
