I phoned them and they claim they do not have a geo number... how stupid are some people???
Because they are technically part of the government, would this number qualify under the FoI Act??? |

To help the search
Token Distribution Unit, The Issuing Unit Freepost ANG 2037 Chelmsford, CM1 3BR OK - Forget that. That post code is for a PO Box company that other Government and various organisations use |

I think you would be better doing an FOI request on them.

I doubt it would work, as they say every time I call them "We are not part of the government, we only print and process vouchers and applications.
Might give it a go, do you think it is worth it bbb? |

I agree. I would ask for the address(es) of the office to which the service is based and the address to which the Freepost address (quote the address to them, then there is no room for misinterpretting it). A Google of "token distribution unit" cm1 reveals another address (a PO Box): P O Box 349 Chelmsford Essex CM1 3YT If you Google "CM1 3YT" gives this result which gives a 01245 phone and fax for Teacher Training Agency. |

How would you word it then? Cheers, Kev |

According to this, it's managed by the DoH and as it also has .nhs in its URL, would seem to indicate that it's government funded so therefore surely would come under the FoI act. You could try emailing the DoH and asking them via the FOI Act for the geo number for Healthy Start. |

The numbers given on this page for Teacher Training Agency are:
Tel: 01245 454 454 Fax: 01245 261 668 Question is, which (if any) are part of a block of numbers they have? A Google of "01245 261" reveals other numbers that do not appear to be connected with this. However, a Google of "01245 454" reveals other numbers that appear to be for different public services. 01245 454454 is listed in our database as being the "Teaching Information Line" for Training and Development Agency for Schools. I spotted 01245 454321 which is the Overseas Teacher Training Advice line and answers with the same female voice as 01245 454454. The same voice answers the 0845 number. It is answered as "Healthy Start issuing unit". 01245 454320 is "English Partnerships Open Meeting Registration Line" and answers with the same voice. 454319 is not answered within the first couple of rings. I then tried 01245 454322 and found it to be for Healthy Start. ;) I presume that this particular office will provide alternatives for other numbers. |

Title: Healthy Start alt number request Post by wakey18 on Apr 6th, 2011 at 2:29pm
Hello Healthy Start issues milk tokens to help people with low income for there new born babies up to the age of 3 with formula and fruit and veg. The only issue is that you have to call an 0845 number when they go missing or they want you to update their records. It doesn't help me when the cost of the call is the same as the amount they give to help.
Can you please help me find and alternative number to 0845 607 6823? Thanks in advance. Sorry forgot to add the web address; http://www.healthystart.nhs.uk/ |

We've discussed this one before and I've joined your posting to the existing thread for it. As you can see (above), we did have a number, but it is now defunct. This was (and maybe still is) outsourced to EWA Limited in Chelmsford. Perhaps someone can do some digging to find out whether that is still the case. |

Hello, I don't know if this is of any help, but I emailed Healthy Start requesting that they called me and when they called, the call came from 01519067000. When I try to call this number back it says that it does not accept incoming calls, but I didn't know if this would be a clue towards finding an accessiable geographical number.
But I thought that everyone should also know that if you email them at helpdesk@tiu.org.uk and ask them to call you, they will call you back. They actually telephoned me back within the hour, which was most impressive. |
