Title: CIS Insurance (Co-operative) Post by brad bon on Jan 2nd, 2007 at 7:00pm
The quoted numbers for CIS are all - you guessed 0870/0845! The Claims section (0845999 8888) keeps you wainting on and on and on.......
The 0161 numbers on the SAYNO database either do not respond to your call number, or redirect you to - yes you guessed it, the 0845 number. Please show your disatisfaction if you use them, by calling their Customer Relations and telling them they are Humbug. |

Have you tried:
http://www.saynoto0870.co.uk/numbersearch.php?sourceid=Mozilla-search&submit=search&number=0845999+8888, this gives 0115 907 5300 and 01284 773905 |

I have been pursuing a claim with CIS for the last few days and find, if you call the 0161 number & hold, after the announcement re the 0845 you are invited to hold for an operator who will then put you through. I have also logged a complaint re the 0845 number but, surprise surprise, have received no reply. This company really has gone to pot anyway, I have been waiting over a month now for an ACCURATE set of documents at renewal, they tell me they have updated the system then the next person that they haven't, I have made at least five calls on this alone, even more re the claim which is for some idiot who can't park a Mitsubishi Warrior tank without hitting our car! And they haven't phoned back as promised, so I now have to call again, but at the the 0161 works.

Hi Cruz, I have previously asked how to link to a page on the number search,(I do know how to do a link), but was told it was impossible, can you explain how you did it as when I pull up a number page on the search, then try to link it I always get the "no results found" page even though the page exists. In fact the link that you say does not work, which it doesn't, seems to be what I get when I try to link to a certain page, I would assume the poster of that link has it right, but the site does not seem to allow it. Thanks |

I deleted the comma! [/quote] What comma ? I have just tried a page and there is no comma in the address bar, and by deleting the full stop, it won't allow me to copy the address bar. |

The link originally posted by crabtree ended in a comma. Click on it and it doesn't work.
However, if you cut and paste it into your browser and delete the final comma, it does work (hover on the THIS link in Reply #2 and you'll see that's all I did). |

Am not disputing that one now works as you say, I am wondering how to do it myself,(as asked previously) because it does not work. Try one yourself, do a search in the number search, when you get the page, copy and paste the url into, say Word, then click on the url and you will get :- "no results found" I have just tried again, and there is no comma in the address. |

Sorry, I misunderstood. Frankly, I've no idea - I can't get it to work either. |

I have now received the usual, inaccurate and useless response from CIS re my complaint about their use of 0845 numbers, again perpetrating the myth that they are "charged at the local rate from a landline" - I despair, how does one get through to these people that this is just not so? I will reply to them but if anyone has a contact higher up the line, I would be grateful for details. To add insult to injury, I deliberately did not put a policy no on my complaint as I was pursuing a claim so they must have trawled through their records and attached it to a previousl now dead policy - how inefficient can they get?! By the way, holding on the 0161 832 8686 no for the operator still works.
