Calls to 0800 numbers are included in your O2 inclusive x-net minutes, together with 0844/0845/0870 but not 0871.

From your Orange mobile, use the dial through number 020 0222 0700 or 020 02220900 to call freephone numbers out of your inclusive minutes.

Title: Re: calling 0800 nos from my mobile Post by Dave on Jan 22nd, 2007 at 2:58pm Referring to the two I posted, 020 0222 0700 and 020 02220900, then yes because they are normal geographical (London) numbers. |

If you have cross network inclusive contract minutes on any network the www.pre-dial.com (See FREE destination list) o2 gateway no 07730 666 890 allows you to call 0800 numbers at evenings and weekends.

I think you'll find Orange will charge at least 10p per min for 0870, and in fact any 08** number.
EDIT @ 1555 Just got off the phone to Orange customer services (Their menu REALLY does not want you to talk to a human!) 08 charges 00 & 08 = 10p per min 44 & 45 = 12p per min 7* = 35p per min These are contract rates. Pay as you go may vary, but they will only be more expensive. |

i thought the gist was you dial some other number (like 020 0222 0700 or 020 02220900 ) 1st then the 0870 number. but as im new to this i wanted to know which numbers i could use?

The numbers you've quoted are for dialling freephone numbers only. Ie 0800 & 0808 as these will not cost whoever runs the service anything.

If you google 07744 suppliers you'll see some offer 0870 access at certain times. |

Dunno if its just my phone but tried using 020 0222 0700 on T-mobile and had an automated voice saying "calls to this number not allowed" or something similar. Managed to get through on 020 02220900 though. :-? :-? |
