Title: 18185 payments
Post by reggie on Feb 18th, 2007 at 2:49pm
I just discovered by looking at the credit card bills of he who pays them that we are now being charged a 21/2% foreign currency surcharge on paying  18185 and 1899. Liverpool & Victoria used not to charge for use in Europe but has apparently changed. Does anyone have a card which does not do this. I know it is a very small amount but useful to know for when one travels.

Because of what I saw as the inherent danger of continuous credit card authority, I changed to Direct Debit for my 1899, 18185 and 18866 accounts.

That had the added benefit of eliminating the 'foreign currency charge' which I was also being charged.

Hi, Nationwide are one of the few credit card providers that do not surchage you on non GBP transactions. I use this card for all my Internet transactions, and you get cash back as well.
