The number you have posted in your database (0115 9837000) for this alarm monitoring centre is of no use.
The company have removed access and there is an answer phone message giving the 0870 9031 999 (Admin) number. We would like the number for this line, also the control room 0870 9030 999. We know the Sales number is 0800 716179 but they will not deal with other issues on this number. Address:- EMCS Waterside House Tissington Close Chilwell Nottingham NG9 6QG Any info would be appreciated # - Edited to improve readability - DaveM |

But your company uses an 0870 number itself. ::) ::) >:( |

# - Edited to improve readability - DaveM ???
You mean # - Edited to stop advertising Martin S ??? Why do you have links if you are barred from using them? We have all sorts of numbers 0906, 0870, 0845 etc depends on the service provided. Does having an 0870 bar you from using this site? |

I'm guessing you like the revenue too much so don't want to post your underlying geographical number yourself or do you just want everyone to ring you on these expensive numbers but you yourself ring other companies on their underlying geographical number (if known)? |

This link explains the ads and how they unfortunately work. The difference between the ads on this forum is that it's used to partly fund the overall running costs as the site makes no money from anywhere else and doesn't charge people anything to lookup alternatives. Whereas your company does make money from the calls and from your services and you do this because many consumers aren't aware that you earn money from your 08x numbers. If you replaced your 0870 general contact number with one beginning 09x that cost the same (ie around 8p/min daytime from a BT landline but obviously a lot more from other providers), would you still get the customers? Simple answer is most likely no because consumers are aware that 09x are premium rate and that the company called makes money but consumers aren't aware that this happens on 084x/087x as well. This is why there has been a lot of press releases and BBC news items about these numbers and specifically 0870 being premium rate but without the consumer knowing its premium rate. |

I edited the Title and Text from UPPER CASE to Sentence case, added the EMCS website link, & put your site link on the graphic. NOTHING was removed !! ABCFIREANDSECURITY wrote on Mar 1st, 2007 at 6:04pm:
Blatant commercial advertising is contrary to the Forums T&C, without permission of the site owner. Links to the company whose details you are trying to locate is however OK. ABCFIREANDSECURITY wrote on Mar 1st, 2007 at 6:04pm:
We did notice that small fact. It's just that it's rather hypocritical don't you think ?? By the way, which location are you at - Reading, Wolverhampton or Telford ?? :) |

I have joined the thread to the existing one for this company. The numbers that were unverified in our database are now not recognised and they are: EMCS (East Midlands Central Station) 0870 903 0999 0115 900 6999 Control room number. EMCS (East Midlands Central Station) 0870 903 1999 0115 983 7136 Administration number. EMCS (East Midlands Central Station) 0870 903 0999 0115 983 7000 I believe that EMCS previously used 0115 983 70xx and 71xx. As the numbers have been changed, then I think it's likely that the only people who know the new ones are the company itself and its telephone provider and I suggest that none will tell you. I noted in 2007 (above) that your company used a 0870 number. I visited the website of ABC Fire & Security and the main number is now 0845 872 2044 ! So ABC Fire & Security doesn't like when it has to dial 084 numbers, but it foists one on others! How hypocritical! ::) My sympathy over the £1.60 charge per engineer visit has waned as your company chooses to charge a fee to its customers when they ring up by use of a 0845 number. The best move ABC Fire & Security could make is to replace its 0845 number with a 01, 02 or 03 one. When it's done that, please let us know. |
